Soldanella montana cream red flowering in early AugustSoldanellas are a favourite alpine flower, luckily I have seen them recently in the Spanish Pyrenees, they are widespread and gorgeous with their early frilly flowers on the delightful large lobed leaves. 10cm tall. Easy in well draining moist soils. Best in a pot, trough or in the rock garden with some shade. Appreciating a bit of humus. Large plants. Delightfully these seed about!
